Founded in 2025, Keep Colorado Beautiful was born when our founder, moved by the litter and illegal dumping he witnessed across the state, realized Colorado needed its own unified movement. Drawing inspiration from Keep Louisiana Beautiful, the bold “Don’t Mess with Texas” ethos, Lady Bird Johnson’s beautification legacy, and as a personal tribute to his mother (born in 1953, the founding year of Keep America Beautiful), he launched KCOB to restore pride and care to Colorado’s communities. Today, KCOB empowers local volunteers, municipalities, and partners by providing people, time, and resources to transform pride of place into lasting environmental stewardship.
